Gossip Girl is just so utterly stupid now.  Yes Dan has aaaalways loved Blair since the beginning of the show.. especially when he was dating and madly in love with her best friend for years. No of course he was secretly plotting the “endgame” that is supposedly Dair and being super secretly in love with Blair. Yep makes sense.
